Pastor Chuck was born in Altoona, PA. His father’s job moved the family to North Carolina in 1969. Graduating from East Carolina University with a B.S. degree in Political Science in 1982.
Upon graduation, Chuck went to work with his father in the Nut Brokerage business. After his father’s death, he went to work at a local peanut processing business called Jimbo’s Jumbos Inc. This business grew and the company moved him to Los Angeles, CA and Dallas, TX. Deciding to not travel as much when his kids were small, Chuck bought and operated a dry cleaning business in Asheville, NC.
After his children left the nest and went to college Chuck moved to Florida from Asheville, NC in 2010. He has a Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2015.
He and his wife, Rhonda, live in Seminole and have four children – Michael (31), Walker (31), Camille (28) and Matheau (28). Walker is married to Julia and they have a son, Charlie, born July 22, 2020.
Pastor Chuck loves sports and is a fan of the Pittsburgh teams: Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins, and an avid English Premier League fan of Liverpool. He always enjoys lively banter regarding college and professional sports.
Pastor Chuck comes to First Pinellas Park after a successful seven years of ministry at Sylvan Abbey UMC in Clearwater, FL.
